The guys came in HOT last night at the 94th Academy Awards and we’re more than proud of our boys. Almost 24 hours later, we’re still thinking about the best-dressed men of the Oscars 2022. On Sunday, March 27, we saw stars like Daniel Kaluuya and Andrew Garfield bring some color to traditional men’s formal wear, but we also saw more daring looks from young stars like Timothée Chalamet.

Typically, men’s fashion isn’t the most exciting when it comes to award ceremonies. Sure, we’ve seen some iconic looks by the likes of Lil Nas X, Harry Styles and Billy Porter in recent history, but that’s exactly the point. That’s recent history.
Ten years ago, men were walking the red carpet clad in black tuxedos simply because that was the only outfit deemed acceptable for male movie stars to rock in front of camera flashes. Until recently, only extreme outliers (like the creators of South Park, who showed up to the Oscars in drag and allegedly tripping on LSD) dared to sport unconventional red carpet attire. Now, the boys of Hollywood are giving us more eclectic looks that are actually worth talking about.
Although the Oscars were a little more exciting than previous years (thanks Chris and Will), we’re ditching the drama and sticking to the style. Right now, men’s fashion is more exciting than ever before, so Spy the 10 best-dressed men from the Oscars red carpet, brought to you by Lexie Moreland and our colleagues at WWD.
1. Daniel Kaluuya
Daniel Kaluuya can do no wrong, especially in the supervillain-esque bright green jacket he wore on the red carpet last night.
He paired the jacket with a pair of black slacks and a bright gold ring on his left hand. All in all, the look was a serious standout within the sea of celebrities last night.
2. Brad Goreski
Looks like celebrity stylist and TV personality Brad Goreski was living on the wild side last night with this eclectic tiger print suit jacket.
Combined with a bowtie, white button-down and a pair of slacks, Goreski was seriously channeling his inner spirit animal.
3. Andrew Garfield
Our spidey senses are tingling for one of the best Spider-men of all time. Garfield rocks a luxurious velvet burgundy jacket, sailor-like grey shirt, dapper wristwatch and, of course, a chunky gold pinky ring for that cherry on top.
4. Rickey Thompson
If you don’t know Rickey Thompson, you sure as hell do now. This vine star turned actor gave us king of the castle vibes with a beady external ribcage that had our mouths on the ground. With the help of Italian brand GCDS, this was easily one of the most visually pleasing and daring menswear looks of the night.
5. Jason Momoa
Jason Momoa’s never won an Oscar. Hell, the man has never been nominated. But this simply accessorized suit fitted him perfectly. He accessorized the look with funky rings and a pocket square in support of Ukraine.
6. Bill Murray
Bill Murray, as always, made us feel warm and fuzzy last night simply by attending the Oscars. And this outfit? Well, it’s absolutely got those Bill Murray vibes. And we wouldn’t want it any other way.
7. Jake Gyllenhaal
We’re still mad at you Jake Gyllenhaal. You know, for inspiring “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)”. Duh.
But, we have to keep it real. That watch looks pretty good on you. And that suit jacket? Whew. We’ll take one of each.
8. Kodi Smit-McPhee
While he didn’t win Best Supporting Actor for his role as Peter Gordon in The Power of the Dog, Kodi Smit-McPhee did win our attention with this gorgeous full baby blue suit on the red carpet. And the shoes? A full 10/10.
9. David Oyelowo
A black and yellow suit featuring a floral arrangement on acid? Count us in, David. Count us in.
10. Timothée Chalamet
You thought we were going anywhere before mentioning Timothée Chalamet’s open torso sparkle suit? We would never forget about our boy Timothée, second in our hearts only to Pete Davidson. This is hands-down one of the best looks of the entire night, and certainly one of the greatest Oscars outfits of all tiime. Who knew so little would do so much?
Traditionally, actresses have wowed us on the red carpet with chest-baring attire, but Chalamet has shown that men can show some skin at the Academy Awards, too.
This is an Oscars outfit that’s going to be talked about for years to come, and in our eyes, it’s earned the young star a lifetime achievement award among even the best-dressed men at the Oscars
