There’s no better time to romanticize your life. And by romanticizing your life, we mean putting on a cute sundress and heels, parading to Bloomingdale’s to pick up the freshest fashion finds, and walking out of the store with your chin up and a little brown bag in hand.
Or, you can take our shopping advice to shop online. We spoke to Bloomingdale’s Fashion Director for Accessories and Beauty, Marissa Galante Frank, who spilled the tea on her favorite trending items to shop for during late summer and early fall.
“I work with product from the inception phase in the market all the way until our customer sees it in in our stores and online,” Frank told The Post, with seven years of in-house experience under her belt. “The process starts with trend forecasting, where my team and I outline key stories and our vision for the upcoming season, and ultimately these trends influence what we buy and how we present our merchandise in our marketing channels. I also partner with merchants to identify the incredible brands that are part of our assortment and special products within pop-up shops, in addition to facilitating exclusive designer collaborations that excite our customers.”
Whether you’re looking for your next pair of dress shoes for an upcoming wedding or a quality blazer for going back to work, Bloomingdale’s has an endless array of chic and classic styles.
“When in doubt, I always lean on classic styles,” she added. “Trends are fun and something I certainly incorporate into my style, but when dressing for major events or something I will look back on through pictures, I want to feel timeless.”
For late summer and into early fall, Frank recommends “investing in a new bag you’ll wear often” or purchasing “an incredible, chic pair of closed-toe flats.” Ahead, find her 30 top picks.
These aren’t just ones we pulled from the bestsellers list. These are sought-after, Bloomingdale’s-approved pieces you’ll want to steal before they’re gone.
